Braai/Heritage Day 2022

The 2022 Hong Ning Braai Day was held as a combined event with The Chinese Association at Rivonia Central on South African Heritage Day.

This was our biggest event to date with all 37 stalls booked out.

Three marquees were erected with one being reserved for VIP guests. Deputy Director General Su of the Embassy of the Peoples Republic of China and his senior staff were among the invited guests.

Multi-cultural food stalls were evident reflecting our diverse South African heritage.

A public gesture of acknowledgement and gratitude was given to individuals who have been long-time donors and supporters of Hong Ning Chinese Aged Home at this year's event. Plaques for the "most valuable patron" were presented to Mr. Walter Pon, Hong Ning's Honorary Life President, Mr Cainfat Hendsen, Mr. Ng Siu Hong and Mr. Li Xin Zhu.

This is only the initial tranche of awards. More acknowledgements will follow at upcoming events.
