Volunteers have been hard at work over the past few months installing an inverter and backup battery in the frail care unit.  The inverter will provide emergency lighting and power to medical equipment during load shedding.

The inverter was a generous gift from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in South Africa.

We have also installed a number of solar lights indoors and outdoors to increase security and visibility.
